Piraeus is the port of our departure and arrival. Reachable by a short Metro or taxi ride from downtown Athens. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the world’s oldest, most vibrant, most cosmopolitan cities. Athens is dense with ancient monuments, chic cafés and unique shops. You should wander through Plaka’s alleys up to the Athens Acropolis hill down again to the Acropolis Museum, which is considered to be of the world’s best. Thousands of years of art and history are packed into this ever-growing metropolis – with so much to see, we recommend that you fortifying yourself, perhaps more than once, with a strong Greek coffee and some meze.
Our first stop is delightful at the island of Mykonos, far-famed all over the world for its lovely countryside and beaches, its iconic windmills and sea breezes, the Little Venice neighbourhood and alleys of Mykonos Town. As the sun sets, drink and dance deep into the night in one of Mykonos Town’s jet set nightclubs. It only takes a few hours on this majestic island to understand how it’s earned its reputation as one of the world’s most beloved destinations, you will have a whole day at your disposal though.
Enjoy a breakfast on board, and a traditional Greek coffee or an ice-cold Mythos lager, as we sail upon the impossibly blue water of the summertime Aegean Sea from Mykonos to Milos. It’s about a geological marvel, volcanic Milos and rare rock formations that will absolutely dazzle you. This Aegean paradise is also home to the greatest number of beaches in the Cyclades, some of which were formed by ancient volcanic activity. Walk through marble-paved esplanade along the harbour in Adamas, and make a visit at the Church of Panagia Thalassitra if you wish to see one of the most breathtaking views in the Aegean Sea.
Our next stop is Santorini, with Its mighty cliffs that rise from the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Its majestic view will make you feel like you are living a dream. So, better wake up and take a jeep safari into the island’s interior or board on a cruise to Santorini’s small islands and volcanoes. Visit the Akrotiri Village excavations, walk through the beautiful hilltop village of Fira, the island’s picturesque capital, or just drink a cold coffee in spectacular Oia Village and watch the sunset while sitting 300 meters above the deep blue sea. It cannot get more romantic than that!
From Santorini, you will wake up in the port of Heraklion, the capital of Crete. The options that await of you are numerous. You may visit the Knossos Palace, the Palace of Festos, make a tour of the city or visit the archaeological museum of Heraklion. You can either walk on its well preserved Venetian fortifications or take a walk to the old parts of the port. But promise yourself to taste its cuisine and strong liquors. The loveliness and tastes of Crete and Heraklion will remain with you for a long time.
From Heraklion we sail so as to arrive for breakfast in Kusadasi, where you will have the opportunity to visit the excavated ancient city of Ephesus and admire its wonders. Kusadasi is a famous destination for its huge bazaar as well, where you could make some rare shopping bargain. After Kusadasi, we will sail overnight back to Athens.
