4 Day Classical Greece Tour from Athens is a four-day journey through the most important archaeological sites of Greece, combining history, culture and breathtaking landscapes.
Day One: Departing from Athens, you will travel along the coastal road towards the Corinth Canal, where you will stop for photos. The journey continues to the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. You will then visit the picturesque town of Nafplio before continuing to Mycenae, where you will explore the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon, you will travel through the Peloponnese, passing Tripolis and Megalopolis, and arrive in Olympia, where dinner and overnight stay are included.
Day Two: After breakfast, you will visit the archaeological site of Olympia, including the Sanctuary of Zeus, the ancient stadium and the Archaeological Museum. The journey continues through the regions of Ilia and Achaia, crossing the impressive Rion–Antirion bridge. You will pass through Nafpaktos and Itea before arriving in Delphi, where dinner and overnight stay are included.
Day Three: In the morning, you will visit the archaeological site and museum of Delphi. After your visit, you will depart for Kalambaka, located at the foot of the impressive rock formations of Meteora. Dinner and overnight stay will follow.
Day Four: After breakfast, you will visit the breathtaking monasteries of Meteora, built on towering rock formations and offering spectacular views. You will visit selected monasteries and admire unique Byzantine artefacts. On the return journey to Athens, you will pass through Trikala and Lamia, with a short stop at Thermopylae, the historic battlefield where King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans made their heroic stand against the Persian army. Here, you will see the monument of Leonidas and learn about one of the most iconic battles of ancient Greece. Arrival in Athens is scheduled for the early evening.
